Roper's Take on The:

Environment

Protecting the Valley’s Air, Water, and Land

The Valley’s environment is essential to our health, economy, and way of life. Clean air, safe water, and healthy land protect families and support agriculture, which feeds the country. We need to invest in protecting water quality, reducing pollution, and preserving the Valley’s natural resources. Protecting our environment protects our communities and ensures future generations can continue to live and work in a healthy and thriving Valley.

Supporting Farmers and Sustainable Agriculture

Farmers are stewards of the Valley’s land and play a critical role in protecting our environment. We must support agricultural practices that protect soil, conserve water, and ensure long-term sustainability. Working with farmers to strengthen conservation efforts protects the Valley’s economy, supports food production, and preserves the land for future generations.

Defending Public Lands and Protecting Access for All

Public lands belong to all of us and should be protected for future generations. These lands provide space for recreation, local jobs, and preserve the natural beauty of the Valley and surrounding regions. We must protect public lands from being sold off or restricted and ensure families continue to have access to outdoor spaces. Defending public lands protects our shared resources and preserves the Valley’s natural heritage.
