Roper's Take on:

Security

Putting America’s Safety and Stability First

A strong military is essential to protecting the United States and ensuring our security. At the same time, our strength begins at home. We must invest in our own communities, infrastructure, and economy so America remains secure, stable, and prepared for the future. National security includes protecting our homeland, strengthening our economy, and ensuring our country is resilient and self-reliant.

Prioritizing Diplomacy and Preventing New Wars

Diplomacy should always be the first path forward. Free trade, economic cooperation, and strong international relationships help prevent conflict and promote global stability. Entering unnecessary wars or interfering in other countries’ internal affairs puts American lives at risk and weakens our long-term security. We must pursue a foreign policy that protects American interests, avoids unnecessary conflict, and prioritizes peace through strength and diplomacy.

Protecting American Sovereignty and Global Stability

The United States must remain strong and prepared to defend itself and its allies, but military force should be used with caution and only when necessary to protect our domestic security. Endless wars and foreign interventions have cost thousands of lives and countless resources while creating instability abroad and at home. A clear, disciplined national security strategy protects American sovereignty, supports our service members, and ensures our military remains focused on defending our nation.
